Vietnam: Dak Ven(?) > Da Nang

Section 7, the final leg of my Vietnam 2025 south-to-central tour. Some great views along the Ho Chi Minh Road, followed by another awesome stay in Da Nang.

This section of road is as good as it gets in Vietnam. Decent quality, great sights, little traffic. It runs through a crusty river valley for part of the ride. And the sights continue until you are about 30 minutes out of Da Nang, where the traffic gets busy.

This trip reinforced my opinion that Da Nang is one of the best places in the world. Certainly for me, it ticks all the boxes: amazing value, great beach, good F&B, not overrun by international tourists. I even went to the dentist. You can see why it is rated as a top place to visit and popular with retirees and digital nomads. If I were looking for a place to hang my hat for a while, Da Nang would be at the top of the list. And there's great riding just out of town, as well as diving in nearby Cham Island.

I ended my 18-day ride here, returned the bike to Vietnam Bike Rent. Had one last Banh Mi, and I was gone.
