Here's details on the fast and easy border crossing from El Salvador to Honduras at El Poy, on a BC-registered T7.

I started the day in El Zonte and rode thru San Salvador to El Poy. (read about the ride here), about 3.5 hours. El Poy is a backwater border, there were no other people at the El Salvador immigration while I was there, only a cat and dog sleeping outside. Exiting El Salvador took 10 minutes.

I departed El Salvador and rode through a short no-mans land, then stopped at the customs building. It was noon and staff were just starting lunch, so I didn't get much support initially, was told to wait outside. After 30 mins, I was asked to submit my documents. Then another 60 mins waiting. I got my documents back, realised I had not stamped out at immigration, needed to ride back 100m and go through the arrival process, took 5 minutes. I can't clearly recall, but I don't think I paid any fees to enter Honduras.

I wasn't approached by a single tout on either side of the border.

Overall, this whole process was a breeze. I had low expectations for processes in Honduras, but it was all fast and easy.

From El Poy I rode on to Ocotepeque, a slighlty grungy border town, then proceeded to Copan Ruinas, the long way on CA4, a ride that ended well after dark for me (really dumb, in retrospect).
